Volleyball Team Gets 2nd Place @ Pierce Tournament

On Saturday, Oct. 1st the Plainview volleyball C-Team participated in a tournament at Pierce. The ladies were very successful and played several games. The morning started with three round robin games. The results of their round robin games are as follows:



Wayne--won 21-12 21-14

Laurel--lost 17-21 13-21

Hartington CC--won 21-19 21-11

These three games seated us second in our pool and therefore our first game in the tournament was against Randolph. The ladies really had to fight for this win as the scores show--25-20 and 25-23. This win advanced us in the tournament and our next game was against Elkhorn Valley. They won in two sets--25-16 and 25-23. That win put us in the championship game against Pierce. It was a hard fought game and we made Pierce play 3 sets to win--25-17, 20-25 and 15-5. We were disappointed that we didn't win but yet at the same time we ended the day with a record of 4-2. Second place wasn't all that bad after a hard day of work.
