"Woo-Hoo!" for Plainview Speech Team

Congratulations to the Plainview Speech Team for earning a 5th place finish as a team at the State Meet in Kearney. That makes it eight out of the last nine years that Plainview's team has finished in the top five at State! Woo-hoo!
Bringing home the hardware was Kristen Tassemeyer, as a CHAMPION in Informative speaking. In Duet Acting, Camille Friedrich and Ashley Mosel earned RUNNER-UP (2nd place) honors. Taylor Christiansen brought home a THIRD PLACE medal in Humorous Prose, and the OID team of Taylor, Kristen, Ethan Pellatz and Abby Holmes earned a SIXTH place medal.
Winning the overall team championship was Raymond Central, the perennial favorite, who has won the State Championship 14 straight years, half of those being in Class B competition, and the rest in the C-1 ranks. David City and Bishop Neumann battled for the runner-up title, with each having 8 speakers in finals.
Congratulations to every member of the Plainview team who contributed to its successful season! We're proud of all of you! Woo-hoo!
