Boys' Golf April 8

        The Plainview golf team competed against another veteran golf team on their home course and were defeated by Verdigre 163-174.  The Pirates were able to win over Orchard by 16 strokes.  Josh Scranton, medallist for the evening, led the Pirates with one over par-37.  Josh Kounovsky was unable to solve their greens while putting and finished with 44.  Nate Wragge was close behind with 45.  Adam Krueger who was playing in his first varsity match shot 48.  Brett Korth who was 8 over after 3 holes did start to play respectively and finished with 50.

            Nic Miller who is vying for a varsity spot led the reserves with a 44.  It was not enough as the Verdigre reserves won 194-196.  Again Plainview was able to defeat their Orchard counterparts.  Jacob Proskovec was close behind Miller with a 46.  Jared Forbes-52, Zac Masat-54 and Taylor Christiansen-59.

            Britton Hamm being familiar with the Niobrara course led the ā€œCā€ team with a 53.  He was helped by Kenny Albin and Lucas Hitz who shot 57.  Trenton Sinkler-60 and Bret Spinger-64 completed the team.  Neither Verdigre nor Orchard were able to field a complete team to compete against the ā€œCā€ team.
