FFA Proficiency Applications
On Feb 4th, Plainview FFA Students submitted 27 various Proficiency Applications to the District review. Of those applications 7 students received bronze ratings, and 4 received silver ratings. 16 applications were given Gold ratings and selected to be sent on to the State review. Eight of the gold rated applications were district champions and the other eight were 2nd place.
The district runner-ups include: senior Tyler Masat; juniors Elizabeth Kment, Kylee Jipp, Mackenzie Eskey, & Brittani Wacker; sophomores Grace Hoffman & Brady Scott; and freshman Becca Kment. Those receiving District Champions were: seniors Cole Kuzel in Diversified Ag Production, Brandon Pellatz in Forage Production, and Kailee Rafert in Diversified Livestock Production; juniors Austin Choat in Sheep Production, Brittany Pellatz in Equine Production, Matthew Bonta in Turf Grass Management, and Tait Ziems in Ag Mechanics Repair and Maintenance, and Ag Mechanics Design and Fabrication.
In addition to the proficiency review, Plainview had 4 seniors complete the state degree application and interview process. These seniors included Kailee Rafert, Tyler Masat, Cole Kuzel, and Brandon Pellatz. Each senior’s application was sent on to the State review.
Our students continue to work hard and succeed, which is something that Plainview can be proud of. Please congratulate these students on their accomplishments. The Plainview FFA would also like to remind everyone that next week is National FFA week and students will be participating in various activities throughout the week to celebrate.
