FCCLA Red Cross Blood Exceeds Goal by 17 Units
The Plainview FCCLA Red Cross Blood Drive held on February 12 at Plainview High School was a success as it passed its goal by 17 units. With all time slots filled at the start of the drive, the Red Cross Workers were busy continually throughout the day. At the close of the drive a total of 55 units were collected.
“The community showed amazing support for the drive. This is the first time that all time slots were filled by the day of the drive. The majority of the donors had registered using the online system, and close to half used the Rapid Pass to speed along their donation process,” stated Adviser Ronita Jacobsen. “A special thank you to those who donated, helped with setup and running the drive, and arranging schedules to allow for others to donate.”
The next blood drive will be March 16th from 9am-3pm at the high school. Appointments can be made online starting now or by contacting Ronita Jacobsen at the high school. Notification of the drive will be given again the first week of March to recruit donors.
