FCS Students Recognized for Completing Programs of Study
During Honors Night May 9, seniors were recognized for completing programs of study in the Human Services and Education Career Field (Family and Consumer Sciences). To complete a program of study, students need to take all classes within that program as outlined by Nebraska Department of Education. This year, seniors Jessica Booth and Peace Akinnigbagbe each completed programs of study and will received certificates for their efforts.
Peace Akinnigbagbe completed the Culinary Arts Program by taking Foods and Nutrition, Culinary 1 and Culinary 2. Jessica Booth completed 2 programs of study. She completed the Child Youth and Family Program of Study by taking Human Development, Child Development, and Interpersonal Relationships. She also completed the Early Childhood Education and Services Program of Study by taking Child Development, Early Childhood Education and Services, and Early Childhood Education Practicum. Both Peace and Jessica completed additional FCS courses in addition to their completed Programs of Study receiving a well-rounded Human Services and Education background to prepare them for their future careers.
