FFA to Sponsor Red Cross Blood Drive July 17

The FFA Red Cross Blood Drive will be held Wednesday, July 17, at Plainview High School from 12:00 pm to 6 pm A goal of 45 collected units has been set by the Red Cross. 

To donate, appointments are preferred to be made online at  or by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App on your phone. Appointments can also be made by phoning FFA Adviser Chad Kment or Ronita Jacobsen at 402-841-4566 or the high school at (402) 582-4991.  Walk-ins may be allowed the day of the drive with permission of the Red Cross Drive Coordinator IF there is a current opening. However, appointments are preferred.www.redcrossblood.org

Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with a completed parental permission form), meet height and weight requirements (at least 110 pounds based on height) and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. After testing positive for COVID-19, donors must wait 14 days before giving blood. Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of positive identification (driver’s license).
