FCCLA Blood Drive Feb. 18th 9am - 3pm
Plainview FCCLA will host a community blood drive with the American Red Cross on Tuesday, November 18th from 9 am–3 pm at the Plainview High School Tartan Gym.
This November, the American Red Cross urges donors to give to help ensure a stable blood supply as winter approaches. Accidents can happen at any moment. Especially on icy roads. Don’t wait; schedule your donation appointment now to keep blood readily available for patients when seconds count. Type O negative and O positive blood is especially important for trauma patients.
For more information or to make an appointment to donate, call the High School at 402-582-4991 or sign up online at redcrossblood.org or through the Red Cross App.
Save time the day of the drive with RapidPass. Complete your pre-donation reading and health history at RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass or with the Red Cross Blood donor App before your appointment.
“Our goal for this drive is 38 donations. To meet this goal all donation times will have to be filled and completed the day of the drive. Power Reds will also have to be filled. Hosting these blood drives provides our senior members scholarship money from the Red Cross. The total yearly units donated each year determines the scholarship dollar amount provided.” stated Ronita Jacobsen, FCCLA Adviser. “Currently, we hold one of the largest high school blood drives in terms of unit collection. I would like to see this continue.”
