FCCLA Blood Drive Meets Goal
Thirty-eight units were collected at the Red Cross Blood Drive, hosted by Plainview FCCLA Members, on Wednesday, May 15, at Plainview High School. With a goal set by the Red Cross of 38 donations, the drive was steady throughout the day and expectations were met. With the increased use of Rapid Pass and appointments, the donation process went smoothly.
"We would like to thank everyone for coming in to donate blood and for scheduling their appointments. The use of Rapid Pass made the process go quickly." stated FCCLA Adviser Ronita Jacobsen. "Everyone’s donations and commitment to donating is greatly appreciated. A special thank you to everyone for signing up online."
The next blood drive will be held Wednesday, July 17, from 12 pm-6 pm in the Plainview High School Tartan Gym. Donors can go online at redcross.org to make their appointment. Registering early ensures the time slot that works best for you. Currently there are 42 appointment times and a goal of 30 donations. As a reminder, the total number of donations received throughout the school year determines the amount of scholarship money provided to our Plainview High School students from the Red Cross.
