After lunch members were able to tour the Children's Museum, view other STAR events in progress, and attend sessions on "Power of One", "Planning Process", "Marketing Super Sleuths", and "Fitness".

Shelby Forbes, who received an award for completing all five Power of One Modules, also had the opportunity to explore and tour the Children's Museum.

Late afternoon found our voting delegate Bryce Hightree and Kelsey Cattell interviewing state officer candidates. Votes were cast at the start of the opening ceremony Monday evening held at Pershing Auditorium. Child Life donations were brought to Pershing and placed with others from across the state for distribution to the Child Life Department at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. The chapter along with efforts throughout the elementary school and community had collected $170 and 200 toys.  Keynote speaker for the evening was Bill Coreds.  Following the opening ceremony was a dance held for members at the Cornhusker during which Power of One Awards were given out.  Shelby Forbes received her award for completing all 5 units of Power of One.

Tuesday was an eventful day beginning with Shelby Kocian and District Adviser Ronita Jacobsen attending the District Planning Meeting.  Others and Kocian attended additional sessions on FACTS (Families Acting for Community Traffic Safety), Japanese Exchange Program, Leader Labs, Chapter President training session, Attack Attude, Culinary Careers, Finance, and keynote speaker breakout session by Bill Coreds.  The STAR Awards Ceremony was held at Pershing Auditorium and then the District 8 Meeting conducted by District Adviser Ronita Jacobsen was held at the Cornhusker Hotel.  The meeting included voting on the 2010 District Leadership Conference theme, gathering speakers ideas, and setting the date of May 12th for the District Officer Elections.

Closing ceremony was held at Pershing Auditorium where FCCLA members were presented a "whodunit" award for their Child Life Contributions.
