Golfers Travel To Wayne
The girlsâ golf team ended their regular season with a dual held at the Wayne Country Club against West Holt. The dual ended in a tie to leave the season record at 4-2-1 with each team shooting 246. The dual served a double purpose as it was used to practice at the district site as well as dual West Holt. Briana Hamm led the team with 58. This was a good score as it is not much above her average and the wind was very strong. Stephanie Sorensen was close behind with a 59. Sorensen started off poorly and had a bad finishing hole to ruin her score. Rachel Sorensen encountered some putting woes before she finished strong to shoot 62. Brittany White ended the team scoring with 67. White played well until a sand trap got in her way. Kaytlyn Johnston-70 started off very well until the long par 5 with an inside out-of-bounds caused her problems. Erika Neumann led three double-digit holes raise her score to 77.
