Blood Drive Falls 2 Short of Goal
The Plainview FCCLA chapter and FCS students hosted a Red Cross Blood Drive on February 10th at Plainview High School. With a goal set by the Red Cross of 56 donations, the drive fell short of its goal by 2 donations. "With illness setting in and time conflicts we were unable to make our goal. However 54 units is still a large donation. We would like to thank everyone who attended the drive. We had an amazing turn out of 9 people donating “double reds”, many for the first time. This really helped in units collected. Everyone’s donation is appreciated along with the time and commitment you have made to continually donate," stated FCCLA Adviser Ronita Jacobsen. "I would also like to thank Madison County Bank for donating the meat served at the blood drive.”
The next blood drive will be held in June and sponsored by the Plainview FFA Chapter. Please plan to attend as the total number of donations received determines the amount of scholarship money provided to our Plainview High School students from the Red Cross.
