On September 26th, members of the FCCLA chapter met in the FCS room for their monthly meeting. The meeting started off with the secretary report and the treasurer report. Fundraising items are due to arrive on Monday, Oct. 3, and can be picked up after school for immediate delivery. Members made plans for the Oct. 19th District 8 Leadership Conference.  They decided who will be bringing donations and shopping for the gift baskets and who is in charge of the door prize donations.   Members also signed up for selling Otis cookies at the volleyball games on Oct. 4th and Oct. 11th, and the football game on Oct. 14th.   Members also signed up for shifts for the Oct. 11th FCCLA Concession Stand.  Power of One Projects were explained and members began to make plans to complete one module this year.  STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) were introduced to students with plans to start projects at the next meeting.  To conclude the meeting, members played a very active and exhausting game of Beach Ball Volleyball.  The next meeting will be held on Monday, October 10th, at 6:30 in the FCS room.  At this meeting members will sign up for their sessions at the District Conference, finalize plans for Clusters in Denver, and begin work on their STAR Projects. Plans will also be made for the October Food Pantry Drive and Halloween Party.
