FCCLA Red Cross Blood Drive Exceeds Goal
Launch the media gallery 1 playerForty-five units were collected at the Red Cross Blood Drive, hosted by Plainview FCCLA Members, on Wednesday, September 20, at Plainview High School. With a goal set by the Red Cross of 43 donations, the drive was steady throughout the day and exceeded expectations.
"We would like to thank everyone for coming in to donate blood and for scheduling their appointments. The use of Rapid Pass made the process go quickly." stated FCCLA Adviser Ronita Jacobsen. "Everyone’s donations and commitment to donating is greatly appreciated. I was glad we were able to accommodate the walk-ins. With their help we were able to meet our goal!”
The next blood drive will be held Tuesday, November 22, from 9 am-3 pm in the Plainview High School Tartan Gym. Donors can go online at redcross.org to make their appointment. Registering early ensures the time slot that works best for you. Currently there are 56 appointment times and a goal of 44 donations. As a reminder, the total number of donations received throughout the school year determines the amount of scholarship money provided to our Plainview High School students from the Red Cross.
