FCCLA Red Cross Blood Drvie Exceeds Goal
The Plainview FCCLA Red Cross Blood Drive held on March 16 at Plainview High School exceeded its goal by 8 units. The goal was 36 units and 44 were collected. With all but 3 slots filled at the start of the drive, the Red Cross Workers were busy continually throughout the day.
“Once again the community showed amazing support for the drive. The majority of the donors had registered using the online system, and close to half used the Rapid Pass to speed along their donation process,” stated Adviser Ronita Jacobsen. “A special thank you to those who donated, helped with setup and running the drive, and arranging schedules to allow for others to donate.”
The next blood drive will be May 13th from 9am-3pm at the high school. Appointments can be made online or by contacting Ronita Jacobsen at the high school. Notification of the drive will be given again the first week of May to recruit donors.
