FCCLA Easter Egg Hunt Draws a Crowd
The Easter Bunny hopped into Plainview on Sunday and dropped off close to 1000 eggs for children to find at the FCCLA Plainview Community Easter Egg Hunt. The Bandshell Park and elementary playground were egg covered and ready for children to be turned loose. Children took off running and happy screaming could be heard as they scrambled to get as many eggs as they could.
After emptying their eggs so they could be used next year, all children were able to select a Hog Wash juice drink or a pop along with a toy prize. The candy for the hunt was donated by CASH-WA while Pepsi provided the drinks. FCCLA had purchased a variety of toy prizes for the children to select from.
The day was deemed successful based on the smiling faces of the children and laughter being heard. “We had a great turnout for the hunt this year. The weather cooperated and everyone seemed excited for the day since last year’s was cancelled,” stated Ronita Jacobsen FCCLA Adviser. “FCCLA Members enjoyed being able to do this again for the children in our community.”
