NTHS Inducts Members for 2266-27
National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) inducted 7 members during its induction ceremony Monday, May 11. The Plainview High School NTHS Chapter recognizes and honors students for outstanding achievement in their career and technical education programs. This recognition is achieved through a nomination, evaluation, and selection process based upon exemplary citizenship, leadership, workmanship, and scholarship. The highest recognition bestowed upon career and technical education students is through membership in the National Technical Honor Society.
President Kaydance Maertins, along with current members and inductees, conducted the candle ceremony, which describes the seven membership attributes. Following, seven juniors were inducted: Josie Choat, Adalyn Dummer, Blake Foster, Beau Johnson, Braedon Kment, Landon Hergert, Riley Miller. They received a certificate of membership, membership card and pin, tassel, NTHS sticker emblem, and diploma seal. Current Members are Peighton Arlt, Kaydance Maertins, Makenzie Doerr, and Keara Olson. Following the induction, the 2026-27 NTHS Officers were installed by Kaydance Maertins. Officers and positions are as follows: President-Landon Hergert, Vice-President-Braedon Kment, Secretary-Blake Foster, and Treasurer-Adalyn Dummer.
Landon Hergert and Braedon Kment presented the seniors with their medallions which will be worn at graduation.
NTHS advisers are Career and Technical Education Instructors Ronita Jacobsen-Family and Consumer Sciences and Education, Chad Kment-Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources, Kim Miller-Business, Marketing, and Management, and Brad Catlin- Skilled and Technical Sciences.
